Project 5: Travel Brochure & Presentation

Student Presentation

Goal

Highlight Japan's cultural communication concepts

Overview

Group assignment to demonstrate knowledge of cultural communication in a country of our choosing. Japan was a natural choice due to its rich history and high-context culture. I conceptualized the project as an in-flight presentation for a fictional airline, Tokyo Air, to engage the audience through an immersive experience.

Process

  • Developed and delegated key responsibilities among a team of four, ensuring efficient workflow and alignment with project objectives

  • Conceptualized and created costumes and props to reinforce the thematic narrative, contributing to an immersive audience experience

  • Wrote a detailed script to guide the presentation, ensuring clear communication and seamless transitions between key points

  • Designed brochure and slide deck to reflect a unified visual identity

Brochure Design

Designed and formatted brochures for print

  • Conducted research and curated key information, balancing brevity and detail to create a visually appealing, user-friendly layout that enhanced audience engagement

  • Leveraged multiple Canva and SlidesGo templates, recoloring and customizing graphic elements to ensure consistency, originality, and alignment with the project's theme
